Chainsaw
Kickback -- It’s not a question of if it will happen, but
when...
Chainsaw
manufacturers have spent the last two decades reducing weight and
increasing power. Twenty years ago, an average chainsaw weighed 24
pounds. Today it weighs 13 pounds. This represents over a 45% reduction
in weight. While weight was being trimmed, power has been increased as
much as a 14% which translates to a 20%+ increase in chain speed.
What all this
means to the end-user today, is that there is an even a greater need
for kickback protection.
